Hi, my name is Beatrice and I am a resident of Norfolk in the UK. I decided to make this blog to share a little about my area with the world.
Norfolk is a county located in the East Anglia region of England. Bordered by places like Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire in the west, Suffolk in South and the North Sea in the northern and eastern boundaries, this region has several county towns. These comprise of Norwich, Thetford, Great Yarmouth, King’s Lynn and other places. The Broads include a network of lakes and rivers which lie in the eastern region of the county. There are extensive marshlands here that have rich flora and fauna as well as wildlife, akin to a national park area.
The influence of the Romans is high in this region due to the camps that were set up here when the Romans quarried for Flint in this area. Norfolk also has cultural links to Northern European countries like Scandinavia. There are forts of the Saxons and Angles that can still be found around this region. In modern times Norfolk is a county that has much to offer. With coastal towns by the North Sea and diverse natural landscapes to discover, this is a county region that attracts families and tourists from all over, especially during the summer months.
With a rich natural and cultural heritage, Norfolk can be the ideal destination for a well balanced and healthy holiday or escape for all. The quaint inns and manors that serve as hotels and restaurants offer people the delights of fresh local produce and seafood that are prepared simply. The hotels, inns and other accommodation places can be the perfect places to stay when you come from Norfolk.
